Types of Aid

Graduate financial support can come in the form of internal and external fellowships, scholarships, Graduate Student Research Appointments, Graduate Student Teaching Appointments and loans. 

Several forms of financial support will be available to facilitate the pursuit of a graduate education at UC Merced. Most forms of support are granted for merit, while others are granted for financial need or for a combination of merit and need. Financial support for graduate students is in large part provided by the Graduate Division. The Office of Financial Aid coordinates with the Graduate Division to provide all forms of student support.

*The Graduate Cost of Attendance estimates are current as of June 30, 2009 and are subject to change without notice. The costs listed below are average costs, your own living expenses may differ somewhat.

* Health Insurance fees are $762 for Fall 2009 and $1,042 for Spring 2010

NOTE:  Non-Resident Graduate students pay an additional $15,036 in Non-resident tuition and fees.
